With the warm weather we have been experiencing this past week the mosquitoes are out in force from previous rain events. By Friday morning we will have treated the western portion of the District starting in the south and working north.
A cool down is predicted after the weekend which will reduce the activity but not the population. When it warms again, there is a good chance more spraying will be required. Even though it is January we are fully prepared to deal with this situation as it is not unusual for us to treat year-round in the subtropical environment we live in. In 2019, for example, we sprayed for adults every single month.
